How to solve every(most of the time) wordle problem

Those who already know how to play Wordle, thank you for letting me skip the tutorial part. And those who are curious new heads like me(I have started playing Wordle for only 2 days), you can follow this article to learn to play this game.

If you follow this writing you are likely to solve the problem at the sixth attempt. So don’t be afraid if you find you have only one attempt left to have the correct word. Hopefully, you are going to make it correct this time.

There are 26 letters in the English alphabet. So my approach is to cut out as many letters as possible before using all the attempts. For that I use these Five words:

  1. JUNKS
  2. WHOMP
  3. CALYX
  4. FRITZ
  5. BADGE

If you look closely these 5 words contain 24 letters on your keyboard. Only letters left? ‘Q’ and ‘V’. Now, most of the time you are going to find all five letters you want to solve the puzzle. Maybe you will also get the exact positions of some of them too. Then try to create a perfect word based on the 5 letters you get and also use the positions.

Different situations you might face:

  1. You might find you could only guess 3 or 4 letters from the desired word. That means your word contains Q or V or both. Try to create a meaningful 5 letter word using all your available letters.
  2. It might also happen that you could correctly get 3 or 4 letters. That could also mean that your desired word contains the same letter twice. it’s a tricky problem to solve. But if you are good with words then it’s easy-peasy for you.
  3. While creating the game the creator used 2500+ common 5 letter words from the array of 5000+ five-letter words. So keep it in mind that your word will be a common five-letter word.
  4. Things get really tricky when the available letters create more than one meaningful word. It happened once that I got the letters ‘A’, ‘L’, ‘P’, ‘T’ and ‘E’. which can create the following words:
  • LEAPT
  • PALET
  • PETAL
  • PLATE
  • PLEAT
  • TEPAL

From where I discarded ‘PALET’ and ‘PLATE’ because ‘A’ would not be in the 2nd position and ‘T’ would not be in the 4th position which I found from the previously wronged words. The actual answer for that problem was ‘LEAPT’.

If you are not a native English speaker and have a bit of a problem building words like me, you can always take help on the internet. Most of the time I use this website to build words. You can take help from here too.

I hope you are going to crack the game every time you play. If you face any different kind of problem please let me know so that we both can try and solve the problem. Thank you for your patience in reading. You can share this article with your friends too. And please share your results with me. Happy Wordling.
